For a long time there has been an inherent and intrinsic link between film and stage musicals but this tended to work one way, with stage shows being turned into movie musicals. However, there has been a recent trend of the opposite happening, with films being turned into hit stage musicals.
You've probably heard of the Bechdel test but, perhaps, don't know what it is or what it means. To pass the Bechdel Test a film must have these three things: 1. Two named female characters 2. Who talk to each other 3. About something other than a man
